            Rhyna was sitting beside the stream when a bunch of flowers was handed to him by Yuri.

 

Rhyna  :  Didn’t I tell you not to go and pick flowers there.

Yuri  :  And didn’t I tell you never to come here alone?

Rhyna  :  Ok..ok..

Yuri  :  Well, anyway, how’s your night? Did you enjoy it?

Rhyna  :  Yes. I really did. But feel a little bit sleepy…

Yuri  :  I know how to remove that feeling…

Rhyna  :  How?

 

            Yuri dipped his hand to the cold water and sprinkled it to her…

Yuri  :  Here!

Rhyna  : Hey! Ah! No! Stop it!

Yuri  :  (He enclosed her in her arms once more) I will surely miss you… (kisses her      gently)

Cesar  :  (Drags Yuri) what’s this!? I knew it!!! You have relationship right! Huhuh!

            I kept wondering why you always see each other most of the time and last night, I

            left just to get something to drink, but when I came back I did not see you… What

            a great fool of me!!! I thought that you were sincere when you told me that

            you don’t and would never love him…

            How? How could you do this to me? You may not know but I’m telling you, I   love you!!! Why didn’t tell me that something’s happening between you and that

            stupid man!!! And why was he the one you’ve chosen instead of me? Why? Is it

            because of that bundle of flowers??? Wait and I’ll get you some!!!!!

Rhyna  :  NO please… Listen to me…

Cesar  : No Rhyna, I love you and I’m willing to risk everything to have you!!!

Rhyna  :  NO!!!

Yuri  :  Come back Cesar!!! Stop it!!!

 

            Cesar did not listen to them and continued running ‘til he reached the place where the falls is located at…

            He climbed the slippery stones…

 Rhyna  :  (Sobbing) Don’t do it Cesar… Stop it… It’s too dangerous…

Cesar  :  No Rhyna, I’m almost done… I wanna have you back!!!

Rhyna  :  Please don’t hurt me this bad…

Yuri  :  Cesar don’t let us explain first..

Cesar  :  You shut up! Wait til I come back!!! I won’t let Rhyna be yours!!!

Rhyna  :  No! Stop that!!! Don’t act like a child…

 

            Cesar kept on climbing ril he reach the bunch of flowers so he needed to clinging on the branches of some trees there…

Rhyna: Cesar, come back please…

Yuri  :  Cesar, keep out!!! The branch is breaking!!!

Rhyna  : Cesar! Be careful!!!

Cesar  :  I’m almost done Rhyna you’re going to be mine!!!

Yuri  :  Come back Cesar… The branch is falling!!!

Cesar  :  Don’t say any word I know that you’re good in this and you don’t have to let me

            hear it once more! I just want tell you in addition that if you can do this… why

            can’t I?

Rhyna  :  Watch out!!!!

Yuri  :  Cesar!!! Hold on to the other branch… Wait I’m coming!!!

Rhyna  :  No Yuri, you might add weight to the branch…

Yuri  :  Cesar… Hold on other branch..! Watch out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rhyna  : AHHHHH!!!!

Cesar  :  Rhyna!!! I love…

 

            And Cesar fell down into a sharp rock and his blood splashed and made the river turn red…

 

Yuri  :  Cesar!!!!!!!! (Punching the ground) No Cesar!! You should have not done this…

            no... It’s all my fault!!! It’s all my fault!!!

Rhyna  ;  (Cryng Trying to embrace Yuri not to hurt himself) Stop this… it is not your

            fault…

Yuri  :  Get apart from me… I should have known that loving you would cause this bad!            If I knew that this would happen, I should have never loved you at all!!! This is

            All because of you!!! (Run)

Rhyna  :  (left bunged) It’s all my fault?... Huuhuuhuu…

 

            And Yuri went to States and never came back again…

Rhyna awoke from reminiscing the past. She noticed that she is getting late in her work. So she finished her food and fled soon. At break time while having snacks with her workmates, something flashed back in her memory…

 

Yuri  :  Rhyna, would you be my partner in the Grand Ball?

Rhyna  :  Ahhhh. I’m so sorry but I already have my partner.

Yuri  :  Who? Cesar? No it’s ok. It’s fine with me.

Rhyna  :  I’m really sorry, if you could’ve ask me first you might have been my partner…

Yuri  :  No it’s really fine with me. Forget it… Anyway I could dance with a couple of    songs with you right?

Rhyna  :  Sure!

 

            At the Grand Ball, everyone was elegantly dressed with formal attires.

 

Cesar  :  Hey Rhyna, you’re so beautiful tonight.

Rhyna  :  Thanks.

Cesar  :  Are you enjoying the night? Just tell me if your bored.

Rhyna  :  No it’s ok.

Cesar  :  Really?

Rhyna  :  Hmm… hmm.

 

            But she doesn’t really feel happy because she can’t find what she was looking for since the program begun. When suddenly at the entrance… A man who looks perfect with the coat and tie slowly walked in… Approaching them who are at the center of the dance hall…

 

Yuri  :  Hello there, Cesar may I dance with your partner, you have already danced with            some pieces anyway…

Cesar  :  Ahhh. Sure!

Yuri  :  Thanks. (Lending his palm to Rhyna’s arms and gently guided it to his shoulder)

            Hi Rhyna… You look so wonderful tonight huh!!!

Rhyna  :  Thanks!!!

Yuri  :  Ah… Rhyna… Can I talk to you for while?

Rhyna  :  Sure. About what?

Yuri  :  Let’s go there…

 

            They both went to the bench under the mango tree and left Cesar in the hall without letting him know where they were going…

 

Yuri  :  Rhyna, maybe a week or two after the graduation, I’ll be in the States to continue

            my studies.

Rhyna  :  (Felt hurt with what she heard) A-ah o-ok. Good luck!

Yuri  :  But before I go, I would like to tell you that… that… I love you so much…

Rhyna  :  What? Yuri, you know I love you too but I guess this love I feel will be in vain.

Yuri  :  Do you really love me too? I am staying here then!!! Now that I know that the    woman whom I really loved feels for me too!!!

Rhyna  :  No way. I don’t want to be the reason for you not to continue your studies!

Yuri  :  It’s ok for me to grow up as an illiterate since I have you!

Rhyna  :  No way. You’re the only person your dad can count on to! Do not put his       expectations in vain!

Yuri :  Well then, before I go, I need an assurance that you will wait for me and when you          come back we’ll be together… promise me…

Rhyna  :  Yes, Yuri promise I will wait for you…

Yuri  :  Thanks Rhyna… I really love you…

Rhyna  :  I love you too…

 

            And Yuri locked her in his arms as if he would never let her go… And kiss Rhyna in the forehead. Down went her lips, until it reached the girls red lips which is longing for his kiss!

            The next morning I at the stream…

           

It was a good day and Rhyna went to the stream at the innermost part of their barrio to wash their clothes when suddenly…

 

Yuri  :  (Leaning his arms to Rhyna’s shoulders) Hi there! How’s your day?

Rhyna  :  Aaaaaahhhh! Hey Yuri!!! Want came to your mind that you surprised me that

            way! You almost make my heart fell!!!

Yuri  :  Nothing… It’s just that… I miss you!!!

Rhyna  :  (Felt so flattered)What? Wasn’t it yesterday when we talked about silly old     jokes and now you tell me that you miss me??? Hahaha!!! That’s so funny…

Yuri  :  Hey who came here with you? All by yourself? Damn!!! You should’ve thought

            of what could possibly happen to you in this kind of place!!! What if a stranger

            just grab you and do you bad? Can you defend yourself!!! You could even ask me        to come with you!!!

Rhyna  :  Nothing would happen to me so don’t worry!!! I’ve been here many times

            before and nothing bad happened to me so far.

Yuri  :  Let’s just say that nothing happened to you those times but do you know what

            Would happen to you the next time you come here alone? Do you know your

            Future? Do you…

Rhyna  :  Ok… ok… don’t worry I would never do it again… sorry!!! Anyways what are

            those flowers for?

Yuri  :  Oh yeah I almost forgot. For you…

Rhyna  :  (Shaking) Wow… Where did you get these?

Yuri  :  As usual, near the falls.

Rhyna  :  What? Didn’t I tell you not to go there again? It’s too dangerous! The slopes are

            narrow and the stones are slippery!

Yuri  :  Yeah I know but what are these big muscles for!!!

Rhyna  :  Hahaha! Arrogant!

 

            This was the scenario when Cesar, their best friend reached the place. Cesar as well feels for Rhyna but like Yuri, he doesn’t let the girl notice it…

 

Cesar  :  Hey! Why didn’t you tell me that your going here? Why do you keep secrets?

Rhyna  :  We didn’t talk about it! I just came here myself and so did Yuri!

Cesar  :  Just joking… Wow let me guess, those flowers was given to you by Yuri right?

            Don’t worry next time, I would pick you some flowers at the falls if I would be brave enough and capable to cling on those slippery stones. Hehehe

Rhyna  :  Never mind. I would rather choose not to receive flowers and have my friend with me alive than to receive such gift with my friend lying dead!

Cesar  :  Ows… That’s shocking!!!

            By the way, Yuri, your dad is looking for you. He asked me to tell you that your            cousin has just arrived from the airport.

Yuri  :  My cousin is there? Ok I have to go. I promised to meet him as soon as he         arrives! Hey Cesar take good care of our jewel!!!

Cesar  :  No problem!

Rhyna  :  Stop it!

 

            And the two were left…

 

Cesar  :  I notice that Yuri is always giving you flowers huh… How sweet?

Rhyna  :  Don’t add malice to it. It’s just a friendly gift…

Cesar  :  Oh really? Do you think Yuri would go and face the danger just to give you that           for friendship’s sake? Maybe it’s more that!

Rhyna  :  No way. I mean how could be someone like him, an heir of the Lopez’s, love just an ordinary girl like me… It’s something impossible you know. He was born

            with a golden spoon in his mouth while I was born with nothing!

Cesar  :  (Whisper) Good thing you know it.

Rhyna  :  What did you say?

Cesar  :  N-Nothing. I just said that in love, there’s no rich and poor. There’s no such    thing as impossible with love!

Rhyna  :  Really! Do you think so?

Cesar  :  Why? Do you like him?

Rhyna  :  Ah. No way! He’s not my type!
